Christian Counselling Services is a non-profit charitable organization that welcomes your financial partnership! Without your financial support, we simply could not do the work we do.
We are committed to making sure everyone has the opportunity to heal and grow through counselling. Lack of accessible counselling may mean that the woman who is wondering if she has the strength to leave an abusive relationship will not be able to work through her fears; the child who has suffered a horrific loss will not have a safe place to talk about grief; or the man who has lost hope will not recover from depression. Lives will not be healed, people will not be strengthened, and the community will miss out on these people’s unique contributions.
Each year we need to raise approximately $180,000.00 to offset operational expenses associated with ministry at Christian Counselling Services. We subsidize nearly 70% of the clients who come to us for counselling. Subsidization is just a fancy way of saying that when a client cannot pay the full fee, our counsellors get a lower salary, and we are not able to cover other expenses such as administrative support, equipment for our staff, and supplies needed to provide counselling services.
We have a growing group of supporters who give on a monthly basis. Monthly giving is so important to a ministry like Christian Counselling Services because it helps us to know month-to-month what our income will be and that reduces administrative costs, and also assists us in forward planning and development. Some monthly donors give $20 per month; others give $500 per month! On average, Christian Counselling Services needs to raise approximately $15,000.00 per month.
Our preferred method of payment is by "Automatic Withdrawal". This method allows us to process your monthly donation directly from your bank account. This will save you writing and mailing cheques every month. Please enclose a blank cheque marked "VOID" when choosing this option. Post-dated cheques are also accepted.

The Benevolent Fund receives donations exclusively held for people who come to Christian Counselling Services for counselling but who cannot afford to pay for the counselling they receive. Each year we need to raise approximately $15,000.00 to maintain The Benevolent Fund. A donation of $1200.00 allows us to provide 12 sessions for someone in need. This can make a world of difference in the life of a single mom, a teenager struggling with suicidal thoughts, or a couple in crisis. Again, monthly donations help us to predict regular cash flow and to know what will be available to help clients in need on a month-to-month basis. If you would like to give to The Benevolent Fund, please specifically indicate that on your donation.
Donations to the Building Fund are used to maintain and develop our current facility in order to best serve client needs. Additional funds are saved towards the purchase of a larger future facility as the ministry of Christian Counselling Services continues to expand.

Each contribution directed toward an approved program or project will be used with the understanding that when the need for such a program is met, or cannot be completed for any reason, as deemed by the Board of Directors, the remaining restricted contribution will be used where most needed. All donations made are non-refundable in accordance with the Canadian Income Tax Act.
